The Butterfly Effect - UPDATE #3

Share --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today I find myself quite delighted, and again humbled  that even though we have officially changed seasons,  butterflies seem to be flying and touching down at my front door step each day. They invite me to continue to enjoy  the colors and light of summer through  the caring souls I am writing about today.  I feel blessed.  I believe in a world of love.

The Butterfly Effect continues to ripple and thanks to efforts by those who join us and also spread the word, each day we have new people  signing up.  I've lost count as to the exact numbers as  there are many who plan to also share the lessons published on The Holocaust Museum Houston website  and create with their children, or students or friends.   A special thanks to you for teaching children these lessons.

As adults we can do our level best each day  by choosing to focus on speaking kindly to ourselves inwardly and to others  we interact with.  Please be gentle with others and be gentle on yourselves.   I am reading a book that I am hoping, if I read it enough times, it will rub off on me!!!  Here's an excerpt -

"When you open yourself to the continually changing, impermanent, dynamic nature of your own being and of reality, you increase your capacity to love and care about other people and your capacity to not be afraid. You're able to keep your eyes open, your heart open, and your mind open. And you notice when you get caught up in prejudice, bias, and aggression. You develop an enthusiasm for no longer watering those negative seeds, from now until the day you die. And, you begin to think of your life as offering endless opportunities to start to do things differently."
— Pema Chödrön (Practicing Peace in Times of War)

So, without further ado, I bring to you the butterflies that have now safely landed followed by photographs of those made and on their way.   Now you can see what I mean plus hopefully experience the colors and light of each of these beautiful symbols ....

Click on any of the photographs to view large and,  if time permits, pay these thoughtful artists a visit by clicking on their blog links below.  The creativity, imagination and talent expressed in each unique butterfly speaks to me like a fingerprint of each child honored.
