More snapshots of "Remains of the Day" sewn paper journal pages

Share --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am hoping they will look better once I start writing in them! It's still proving very difficult for me to 'loosen up' and not 'think' about what scraps/images I am choosing...as you can tell - I am learning quite a bit about myself through this process. If you want to take a look at some that are beautiful, head over to Teesha Moore's blog.  Talent.

That's it for blogging from me for a few days - I have a few other projects on the go with deadlines beginning to tap me on the back and echo in my ears.  Hope those of you having to endure a colder than usual winter are bundled up and finding a cozy fireplace to keep warm!

Wow. You've dived right into Mary Ann's class, and I love the sewn pockets! Ribbon is a great touch. I've never done this and it looks like great fun.

Have a nice break.

I Love your pages! Such eye candy.
I found you via the student list on the class blog. I just joined a few days ago & am enjoying the class & looking at everyone's work.
I'm so glad to have found your blog.

I think you are very 'talented' as well--these are wonderful pages and the word 'stitched' impresses me

Hi Trudi,

Do I know about the difficulties of loosening up . . .

I have numerous vintage magazines and only yesterday for the first time was I able to cut up a few pages for a collage.

Though the collage was made quickly, it at least was not secured with adhesive and so i am able to go back as start over. Never the less, my nerves were on edge as I was cutting a few pages from a 1967 Fortune magazine.

It is a huge wall that I am faced with and one day real progress will be made.

Warmest regards
Egmont

Hi T, thanks for stopping by my blog-- my new work there is small, 8"x10" -- I am starting small as I explore my collage painters after my trip to Japan.
