It never fails. Whenever I comment that I plan on posting more often, something happens.
This time, my Dad took a tumble and broke his shoulder (he'd fallen at our house less than a month ago and broke a rib). Because the initial physician reading the x-ray didn't see the break, it wasn't until the radiologist took a look and made the call. So, I was certain I'd be on my way again to my home town to stay with his dog and be his advocate at the hospital. Fortunately, the break wasn't 'serious' and surgery isn't necessary.
I'm sure many of you reading can relate to the worry that is next to impossible to overcome when an elderly parent is suffering. No amount of meditating or 'affirmations' or prayer seem to alleviate entertaining the possibility of that worst case scenario. FEAR - my nemesis.
I've also not taken a serious step toward some of my 'planned' sustained art, and instead fell back into a comfort zone of doodling digitally. Right now, I'm really again not certain which direction I will go - my muse is being very non-committal.

I know your pain Trudi. I have spent the best part of a year flying back and forth to the U.K. to help out my beautiful, ailing mum. Boy, she keeps me on my toes! And fear - my nemesis also. One day I will have time to concentrate and focus on my art but for now my muse is taking a very long vacation!
I am in constant awe of your work so please 'digi doodle' to your hearts content - I LOVE them all!
I have many friends in similar situations with concerns and fears of aging parents. Hope your Dad's recovery goes well. Sure seems as if you have been getting a lot accomplished digi wise - lovely work as always. Hugs.
So sorry to hear about your Dad, Trudi. I'm sending lots of healing prayers and vibes his/your way. My Mom is in her 80's and her health is always on my mind.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Tarot card and will definitely take a peek at the deck. OMG, I love reading a card each day as a meditation experience. Wouldn't you know it . . . The Hermit DID come up in today's reading. . . . . There are no mistakes in the Universe!!! Hugs, Terri xoxo
